Show JUNIOR GIRLS HOLD FESTIVAL More than 150 Junior girls of Kolob' stake M. I. A. were in attendance at the annual spring festival held in the Fourth ward amusement hall, Thursday night. Every ward was represented. repre-sented. Mrs. Mary Weight, stake junior jun-ior leader, was mistress of ceremonies cere-monies and Miss Evelyn Mack-ley Mack-ley of Mapleton, toastmistress. The affair was held in the form of a banquet and program, emphasizing a theme of "Holidays." "Holi-days." Members of each ward were seated at one long table fvhich was attractively decorated to represent a holiday. The Fourth ward represented St. Patrick's; Third, Easter; Mapleton, Maple-ton, Mayday; First, Mothers Day and the Second ward, Pioneer day. Mrs. Vilate K. Reynolds, stake board president, welcomed the group and toasts were given as follows: Mrs. A. G. Thom, stake junior leader, on "Character"'; Leslie Ixive ridge from the First ward, "Love"; Jacqueline Senior, Second ward. "Courage"; Elsie Sumsion, Third, "Friendship"; Evelyn Reed, Fourth ward, "Ideals." and Catherine Mendenhall. Menden-hall. Mapleton, "Character." Mrs. Dona Whiting of Mapleton. Maple-ton. Junior leader, bad charge of program arrangements. After the banquet, stunts were presented by each ward group to further emphasize the holiday theme. |
