Show HAWAII STAKE IS ORGANIZED HONOLULU, T. H., July 2 (IJ.Hi Organization of a new unit of the Mormon church, comprised of 5,000 church members of the isle of Oahu, had been completed today to-day under direction of President Heber J. Grant. The old Hawaii mission of the church will be continued, Grant said, to handle the remaining 9,000 Mormons in other islands of the Hawaiian group. Ralph E. Woolley, Honolulu contractor, con-tractor, and former resident of Utah, was set apart as president of the new stake. Praising development of the church in the islands, President Grant announced that Castle Murphy, president of the Hawaiian mission, would continue in office another year. |
