Show 2000 ATTEND 4-HOUTING Over 2000 people were estimated estimat-ed in attendance at the Utah county 4-H club outing at Balsam park, last Wednesday afternoon and eveninug. William Peterson of the state extension service, was the principal speaker, and discussed the value of 4-H club work. J. W. Gillman, president of the county farm bureau, D. P. Murray .County Agents Lyman Hich, Anson B. Call and Miss Alice Pederson each spoke mrief-ly, mrief-ly, the latter being in charge of the program. A pageant, centered around, "The Wheel of Progress", was given by the Payson clubs, and a tabaleau .entitled "The Dream Song," was given by the Pleasant Pleas-ant View clubs. A chorus number num-ber also was given by the Thistle 4-H girls, and Richard Loveridge gave a cornet solo. Preceeding the program the high school band, directed by Del-mar Del-mar Dickson, gave a concert. A number of .local clubs and their leaders assembled at the park in the afternoon and enjoyed swimming, lunch and other outdoor out-door sports. |
