Show SOCIETY N&VS Members of the Third ward 4-H club, under the leadership of Mrs. Arnold Lee and Mrs. Dolly Smith, enjoyed a hike to the foot hils Wednesday evening. Lunch around a bonfire featured the party. Besides Be-sides the leaders, Marie Sumsion, Grace Butler, Melva Marriot, Jane Lee, Daisy Breezoff, Beth Kindred and Beth Ann Latimer attended. Mr. and Mrs. Myron N. Crandall of this city, announce the marriage mar-riage of their daughter Josephine to Ralph W. Young of Seattle, Wash., which took place Saturday, July 14. The couple left for a months' isit in Seattle, after-which after-which they plan to make their home in Alaska, Mr. Young being transferred there from the federal fish hatchery at Springville. Mrs. Sadie McTavlsh of Salt Lake has been visiting friends and relatives here the pa-st week. Mrs. McTavish recently came from Cali-irnia, Cali-irnia, where she had spent the winter. Three months of the time there, she was seriously ill. A group of friends including Miss Eulalia Condic, Miss Charlotte Char-lotte Hall, Miss Harriet Miner, Miss Jane Bagley and Miss Minnie Henderson spent four days of the past week at Kelley's Grove, Hobble Hob-ble Cheek canyon. Mrs. Wija Hall Pasts of Lorenzo, Lor-enzo, Idaho has returned to her home after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hall and other relatives rela-tives and friends here. Mrs. Tillie Kelley Stalker of Halfway, Oregon, a former resident resi-dent of this city, recently cele brated her fiftieth wedding anniversary anni-versary at her home there, according ac-cording to word received by friends. Mrs. Stalker is now 77 years old. Miss Louise Erdman of Midvale is visiting her grandmother, Mrs. Augusta Erdman and Mrs. Eliza Thorn. Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Robertson, Mrs. Lulu Mendenhall, Dr. and Mrs. Nelson Beal and Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Palf reyman were guests Monday1 night at a party given by Mr. and Mrs. Harvard Allred at Spanish Fork. Mrs. A. C, Bird spent the past week as the guest of her daughter daugh-ter Mrs. Floyd Goates and family in Salt Lake. Will Crandall of Salem, Oregon, a former resident of this city visited visit-ed during the past week with friends and relatives here. He is a son of the late N. D. and Jane , Gammell Crandall. Miss Gretchen Greenlee, a grad-: grad-: uate of the high school this spring enrolled Monday for a stenographic ; course at Henegar's Business col- lege. Salt Lake. i i Mr. and Mrs. LaCelle Sumsion , and children visited the past week end with Mr. and Mrs. Reed John-1 John-1 son, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fullen-! Fullen-! bach and Mrs. Harriet Johnson at Richfield. Mrs. Sumsion will remain re-main there this week.
