Blood is expected to participate. partici-pate. Governor Blood has been sent a special invitation to attend the celebration at this time, Chairman Elmer Bird said Tuesday Tues-day night, at the regular weekly committee meeting. Reports from other committee chairmen indicate that plans are progressing for one of the most outstanding if not the biggest celebrations in the history of Springville during the four day encampment. State Captain John Hughes of Spanish Fork, in a talk before the committees offered the services of the stateorganization in putting over the state celebration. He instructed local committeemen on the care of veterans during the four day program, stating that native sons and daughters over 75 years ofi age, also arc to be honored guests. J. J. Banks,, state adjutant also attended the meeting. meet-ing. Means of transportation for the honored guests were discussed in addition to the spoils program to be carired out. Captain M. F. Miner was appointed appoint-ed chairman of a committee to arrange for a loudspeaker so that all may hear the various programs. Lloyd Bird of tho concessions committee reported that eight applications to participate in this phase of the entertainment had already been received and approved, approv-ed, in addition to a high-classed carnival. Other comittecs reported success suc-cess with their various undertakings undertak-ings with all working hard to make the affair a success.
