Show ":'yr7"y r-.-fr i Mrs. Philda Finley of this city is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mell Roylance in Hazelton, Idaho. A bob-sleigh party was enjoyed by the boys and girls of the Washington Wash-ington Fifth grade one day last week. The party was chnperoiied by teachers ,and Willis K. Johnson,' Jr., driver. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Packard left Sunday to make their home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Since their marriage January 18, Mr. and Mrs. Packard have been extensively extensive-ly entertained by relatives and friends here. Mrs. Packard was j formerly Miss Florence Childs. Mrs. Ethel Robinson of Magna spent the past few days with her mother, Mrs. Agnes McKey and other relatives here. Mrs. Sam E. Wagoner of Le-Grande, Le-Grande, Oregon, is visiting her daughter Mrs. George Crandall and family in Springville. Complimentary to Howard Salisbury Salis-bury and Rapheal Palfrcymafl, who will leave soon to fill missions, the "M" Men of the Fourth ward will entertain this week end at a party at the home of Frank Cranmer. Mrs. Emma Alleman returned to her home here Saturday from Salt Lake where she has spent several weeks. Complimentary to Miss LaBarge Nielson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Nielson of this city, who will be married soon, Miss Gerald-ine Gerald-ine Nielson entertained at a nicely nice-ly arranged shower Saturday evening. eve-ning. Games and lunch were enjoyed en-joyed and beautiful gifts were received by the honored guests. There were sixteen girls present, including members, and a few close friends. Mrs. Alton Packard of Midvale is spending this week with her mother moth-er Mrs. Hattie Blackett of this city. Mrs. Fred Hanson gave a birthday birth-day party Sunday afternoon for her daughter Lois, who is seven years om. There were present, Beth, Gene and Richard Harmer of Payson, Robert and Owen Sum-sion, Sum-sion, Russell Groesbeck, Dick Crandall, Cran-dall, Paul and Calvin Finley, Fhylis Palfreyman, Dorothy Barnett and Evelyn Christensen. Officers of the Second ward M. I. A. and Gleaner girls entertained at a delightful party Saturday evening eve-ning for Mrs. Jessie Alleman Whitney. Mrs. Blanch Beal, president presi-dent of the Y. L. M. I. A. was in charge of the program of music, readings and games, followed by a lunch. Mrs. Whitney was president of the Y. L. M. I. A. for eight years. Thirty co-workers and friends attended at-tended the party. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Nielson entertained en-tertained at a nicely arranged dinner din-ner for their daughter La Barge at their home Sunday. Covers were laid for 12 guests including near relatives of the family. Miss Melba Sumsion entertained a number of friends at a card party at her home Saturday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kindred, Mr. and Mrs. Leland McKenzie, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sumsion, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brown, Miss Vera Finch, Elmo Sumsion, George Johnson and the hostess. Concluding the party a tasty luncheon lunch-eon was served. Mrs. Percinda Oakley gave a delightful birthday party Sunday for her daughter Lucille who is eight years old. Twenty-five little guests attended enjoying an afternoon aft-ernoon of games and a program. All were seated at one long table which was centered with a pretty birthday cake. An attractive lunch was served with each little guest receiving a Valentine favor. |
