Show Utahn Kills Wife; Attempts Suicide Following Quarrel Mining Operator Inflicts Mortal Wound After Shooting Mate To Death Early Saturday Morning On Redwood Road. SALT LAKE CITY, July 26 (UP) A bitter quarrel between be-tween an estranged couple ended tragically early today with the murder of Mrs. Dorothy Bish and the critical wounding f her husband, George A. Bish, 45, once a wealthy Utah mining operator... Authorities said Bish evidently shot and killed his wife and then mortally wounded himself. Will Not Recover Officers found Bish sitting in the tall grass alongside his car, plucking grass. A gaping wound was in his forehead and the body of his wife, a bullet S through her brain, lay sprawled out on the road a few feet away. "We quarreled," gasped the wounded man as one officer shook his shoulder. Then he keeled over, unconscious. Attending physicians say he will not recover. The shooting occurred on a lonely lone-ly rural road on the outskirts of Salt Lake. Miss Florence Park and Miss Lucille Park, both of .Granger, discovered the tragedy at 7:30 a. m. They called officers. Financial Reverses Bish has been actively identified with Utah mining business for years. He has leased claims near Eureka and other locations. In recent re-cent years, however, he suffered severe financial reverses and these business setbacks, police assert, impelled him to drink to. excess. Eventually Mrs. Bish left him and went to live with friends It was to talk over their marital status that the couple drove out on the Redwood road early today. Mrs. Bish," formerly Dorothy Myers My-ers of Greeley, Colo., has been separated from her husband for six weeks. Authorities believe Mrs. Bish wa? shot in the car and that her bodj tumbled out onto . the ground through an open door. Bish then, it is believed, stepped out and shot himself through the forehead.
