To-tal cost would be $1,500,000. Location of the football sta-dium would be east of the Can-yon road and between 1,600 and 1875 North, north of the present Helaman Halls, Provo. President Ernest L. Wilkin-son presented the details which calls for a three fold fund raising plan. His plan as ultimately en-dorsed by the group present, included: i; $500,000 to come from a $30 building fee from each student at BYU for one year, plus "a little surplus we al-ready have." 2. (a) $250,00 to be solicited from members of organized labor in Utah County on the same basis as the student con-tribution $30 each to be paid over three years at $10 per year. (b) $250,000 from business, professional and other citizens of Utah County. 3. (a) $200,000 to come from "a special plan which we need to give more study." (Later in the meeting he re-vealed the plan concerned ad-vance sale of football tickets.) (b) $300,000 which the uni-versity itself will contribute to cover constructon of soffice and other facilities underneath the stadium, and which will be classed as academic con-struction and therefore eligible for university funds. The stadium as presently planned will have a west side 69 rows high and seating 15,-39- 6 people and an east side only about two-thir- as high, seating 11,416, for a total of 26,812. The stadium would be open at both ends, with all seats "between the goal posts." Later expansion plans would provide for the raising of the east side to the same capac-t- y as the west and enclosing at least one endl for horse-shoe stadium giving ulti-mate capacity of around 42,-00- 0. Chamber hears business advice W. K. Wotherspoon, execu-tive secretary of the Provo Chamber of Commerce, was the principal speaker and gave the businessmen and informa-tive talk on promotions, giv-ing facts and figures on shop-ping trends and downtown shopping events. He pointed out that more and more larg-er stores are keeping their doors open during evening hours for the convience of shoppers. He urged merchants to, fully cooperate in shopping events planned to benefit the community. Mourning dove hunt opens September 2 The mourning dove season, first upland bird shoot of the year for Beehive State gun-ners, opens on Monday, Sept. 2. Except for closed portions of Salt Lake and Utah coun-ties, the entire State will be open to hunting. The season will run for 14 days in all counties except Beaver, Iron, Juab, Kane, Millard, San Juan and Washington counties where the hunt will close on Sept. 30. Field reports from depart-ment conservation offices in-dicate that doves are restless and on the move over most of the state with the recent cooling trend of weather. Hunt-ers, however, can expect to find good shooting along most of the range and marginal lands bordering the dry farm areas. Shooting hours daily are one-ha- lf hour before sunrise to sunset and bag limits are 10 daily and 20 in possession after two days of hunting. No Federal bird stamp is required to hunt doves, though persons 16 years old or older must display the game bird or combination license and ju-veniles 14 and 15 years old may hunt with the $2.00 bird license as long as they are accompanied by someone 21 years of ae or older. The law requires that shot-guns be plugged so that no more than three shells may be contained in chamber and magazine combined. All rules and regulations are shown in the morning dove proclamation which may be obtained from Department of-fices or from license vendors over the state. The ,common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot it can't be done. Passage of the proposed Federal Aid to Edu-cation will provide a law that does not prohibit paying a lot and gettinga little.
