These new buses will be put into service where they are needed most. A fleet of 34 school buses have been repaired, serviced, and put in condition to transport trans-port Nebo District's children to and from school during the coming year. Included in the 34 are three new buses. Buses will be assigned to drivers before be-fore the District Institute Aug. 27. Nebo School District bus personnel are especially chosen for their ability to handle their buses effectively and well. One of the major problems prob-lems in bus transportation is to bring home to all motorists the need to comply with regulations reg-ulations applying to passing of buses stopped on the highway. high-way. The Utah State Board of Education and the Utah State Road Commission have published publish-ed a new traffic regulation manuel which states in part: "A school buss shall be stopped outside the right lane of traffic whenever possible to receive or discharge pupils, or when stopped at grade crossings, cross-ings, and shall have alternate flashing warning lights turned on when a hazard exists. "When discharging pupils, the driver shall require all who cross the road or highway to pass behind rather than in front of the bus." The three new buses purchased pur-chased this spring will carry 66 students each.
