Show friends gather at annual fete Fifty-two former high school students and friends of many 'ears past, gathered at the Social Center in Spanish Fork rriday evening, for their annual, an-nual, "Do You Remember?" jarty. Theme of the evening was, far Away Places," and large Wis of cut flowers and miniature min-iature airplanes centered the long tables from which dinner xas served in the early even-jij. even-jij. Mrs. Arthur Finley offered offer-ed grace. Chairman Grace Martindale nlcomed the group and gave s brief history of the organ-iation.. organ-iation.. Following dinner, she introduced Mrs. Mae Child as raster of ceremonies. In original verse, Mrs. Child paid tribute to Mrs. Jessie J. Dalton, Mrs. Belle Thomas and Mrs. Eliza T. Bringhurst of Salt Lake City who presented the program, preceded by group singing led by Mrs. Mary H. Weight. Mrs. Martindale also read a number of cards from members mem-bers of the group unable to attend this year's party. A highlight of .the evening was a report by Mrs. Dalton on her trip to Europe in which she told of many places of interest in-terest in various countries including in-cluding Spain, Holland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France and England. Preceding her talk, Mrs. Thomas played piano pi-ano selections representative of music from the various lands. The program concluded with solos by Mrs. Bringhurst, "The Hills of Home," and "Home, Sweet Home," accompanied by Mrs. Thomas. Elected to serve as chairman of the 1964 party was Mrs. Vanda M. Jensen of Mapleton. |
