The House of Delegates of the Utah Education Association Associa-tion will meet Aug. 2 to vote on the agreement reached by the UEA leadership that the impasse in the state's school problem has been "satisfactorily "satisfactor-ily resolved." On Saturday, Aug. 3, teachers teach-ers will meet to give their approval ap-proval or rejection of the agreement. The Friday night session is scheduled at the Provo High School and the Saturday morning meeting at the George Albert Smith Field-house Field-house at Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. Agreement was reached July 15 when Moroni L. Jensen, UEA president, and John C. Evans Jr., executive secretary, met with Gov. George D. Clyde and approved the governor's citizen study committee. The UEA Board of Trustees accepted the solution after a lengthy meeting Friday night. The House of Delegates and the teachers must now give approval before teachers are free to negotiate for contracts with their respective boards of education. |
