Show Y art students have exhibit at SHS gallery An exhibit of some of the work, accomplished by a group 0 BYU art department students stu-dents on their ninth annual ' tater color sketch trip to the Lert regions of Southern Utah will be seen at the high Xbod Art Gallery May 1 to 9. The exhibit will be climaxed with an Open House May 8, t 7 30 p n1- when a program Ll be given for the public, at tte gallery. At this time, a discussion of desert painting Mobilities, points of interest along the way, historical backbond back-bond of the area and an an-ajysisi an-ajysisi of the exhibit, will be mven by graduate students. A Ldal feature of the program ,riU be the showing of slides of the trip experiences. The water color sketch trip was made April 16 to 20 by 20 advanced students, under direction of Professor Glen H. Turner of Springville, accompanied accom-panied by Ernel Anderson, Dixon Junior High art instructor in-structor and Professor John Eastmond of BYU physics department, de-partment, who was photographer. photogra-pher. Painting stops were made at the Arches, Dead Horse Point, along the Schaf-fer Schaf-fer Trail, Goblin Valley and Capital Reef. |
