Some 40,000 game harvest questionnaires have been mailed mail-ed from Utah Department of Fish and Game offices. Ten thousand will go to upland game bird hunters and 30,000 to deer hunters. The department urged sportsmen sports-men receiving one of these questionnaires to answer the questions accurately and return re-turn "them promptly, since tabulation tab-ulation of the requested information infor-mation plays an important role in determining the annual harvest har-vest and setting future management man-agement policy. Names of sportsmen receiving receiv-ing the questionnaires are selected se-lected each year on a random basis through use of the department's de-partment's license files. The Utah Department of Fish and Game today reminded sportsmen to retain their 1960 fishing or combination license if they intend to go afield on any of the all-year or special whitefishing waters prior to April 16 next year. Legislative law sets the fish and game license year to begin be-gin annually on April 16 and end the following April 15. Thus, the 1960 license issue must be visibly displayed on an outer garment whenever afield through April 15, 1961.
