Show Springville city officials at their council meeting meet-ing Tuesday evening awarded a bid to install a new water pump at the new well on Ninth East Fourth South and made plans to advertise ad-vertise for bids on another well to be dug in the vicinity of Sixth East and 10th South. Nickerson Pump Co. of Salt Lake City were successful bidders bid-ders on the pump installation, offering to do the job for $5216. The work, is expected to . begin April 1 and is to be completed within 30 days. The two wells are expected to be in operation to supplement supple-ment the city culinary water supply for the summer season and from weather conditions todate the added water will be needed and much appreciated. A list of property owners affected af-fected by Improvement District 8, which included installation of curb, gutter and walks, is being prepared for publication soon, City Recorder Ashcraft reported and notices of amounts due on the improvements improve-ments will be in the mail to the property owners affected, within the next few days. Club closed The city officials also revoked re-voked the operation license of Diamond Club which is in the process of changing management, manage-ment, the recorder reported. Revocation came as a result of the club not meeting requirements require-ments of a city ordinance and the County Board of Health standards, it was stated. City department heads met with the council in their annual an-nual report session to take up various problems in their departments. de-partments. Council approved purchase of a measuring device for the water at the Hobble Creek Power plant which will be installed in-stalled to determine the amount of water due the irrigation company. |
