In as much as the birthday of Supt. Russell N. Stansfield also came last month, he was a special invited guest. Standing with him at rear, are Rebecca Fullmer, lunch worker, who took the part of Santa at the dinner party; Principal A. LeRoy Erickson and Emily Gustavson, school lunch unit manager. Other 'workers not in the picture, are: Betty Jensen, Georgia Wilson and Dolly Smith. It isa happy oc-casion for the youngsters who participate in the birthday dinners. Each guest is presented with a favor made by lunch workers appropriate to the month and the birthday song is sung. t"kMi idlUMlMLlMj Senior 'Student of the Week Richard Taylor, is a sincere, quiet, friendly senior at Spring-ville High School who would like to follow the footsteps of his father, Hal Taylor in choos-ing a career. Richard wants to become a teacher and he is doing a good job to prepare himself for the task. He is an excellent student and is work-ing toward the time when he can attend college at BYU and major in education. "I like nearly everything about high school," Richard says, "especially the friend-ships and associations with the other kids." He aso likes to participate in school activities. He was president of the junior class; took a leading role in the recent school play; sings in the a cappella choir, and be-longs to the Thespian club. In his spare time Richard enjoys all kinds of sports, es-pecially deer hunting. He also participates in church athletic programs. This young man has estab- - Richard Taylor lished an enviable record for his church activity. He has held most of the offices in his church groups and has won five individual awards for church participation. We never harbor ill feelings against individuals who dis-agree with our views, although we often regret that so many people can be wrong. fJ3owiing. Scores Tues.
