Show Mrs. Ila Cook Is Club Hostess Mrs. Ila Cook was hostess to members of the Cultural Arts Club at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Clyde Wednesday evening, where Mrs. Margaret Pehrson gave the topic on "The World of Books." Mrs. Pehrson gave brief reviews re-views of such novels as. On .the Beach, The Ugly American, Ameri-can, A Single People as well as a few classics, Adam Bede, American Tragedy, Alice in Wonderland, Old Man and the Sea and made a comparison. Bruce and Glenn Cook entertained en-tertained with piano, selections and Mrs. Helen Wright read the club collect. The meeting was In charge of Mrs. Ivy Thorn, club president who announced the next meeting meet-ing on December 3, at the home of Mrs. Reva Lynn. Lunch was served by the hostess at the close of the meeting to 21 members and guests, the latter including: Mrs. Geneva Kapp, Mrs. Beverly Bever-ly Reynolds, Mrs. Louise Gam-mell Gam-mell and Mrs. W. W. Clyde. |
