Show WOMEN WILL ASSIST EMPLOYMENT DRIVE Organizations to Help in Finding Occupation for Demobilized Men. Co-operation of all women's organizations organiza-tions to aid the drive to find employment employ-ment for discharged soldiers and sailors is requested by Mrs. Addie A. Soper, head of the woman's division of the Salt Lake office f the United States Employment service, who has been placed in charge of the movement, which started with Employment Sunday and ends with the observance of Mother's und Son's day on Sunday, May 11. "Many of the largest women's organizations organ-izations in tiie country havo already pledged their aid to the employment service ser-vice in securing work for demobilized men," said Mrs. Soper. "Among them are the women's committee of the Council Coun-cil of National L'ei'ense. the National League for Women's Service, the Women's Wom-en's Land Army, the National Council of Women, which includes such widespread wide-spread associations as tho Federation of Women's Clubs, the Woman's Christian Temperance union, the National Woman's Wo-man's Suffrage association, the ' national , patriotic societies and the national groups of manj' other classes of woman's interests. inter-ests. "Much good can be accomplished by the women's organizations of Salt Lake if they will bend their energies to this worthy cause. Wc must bring before the employers of this section the absolute necessity ne-cessity for the employment of the constantly con-stantly augmenting number of jobless men who have b.jen released from service ser-vice willi the military and naval forces. "More than 5000 men are now without jobs in Salt Lake City alone, and many are coming from the demobilization camps to swell the number. For n while work for these men could be found at hard labor on roads, etc. But now even that work is not always available. The men's division of the employment service is daily registering a larger number of applicants than th-ey have jobs of any kind to fill.
