Show COMMISSION BEGINS STEEL STRIKE INQUIRY PITTSBURG, Pa., Nov. i. An investigation inves-tigation of the strike of .steel workers was launched today by an independent commission of inquiry, composed of bishops bish-ops and other, clergy men appointed In tho inter-church movement of North America at the recent national industrial indus-trial conference in New York. Bishop F. J. MeConnell, Denver, in charge of the inquiry, announced today that an effort would be made to hear every person who can offer testimony relative to the cause of the strike. He added that steel plant heads, labor lead- ers and others bad been invited to ap-I ap-I pear as witnesses before the commission. |
