WATER COMMISSION OF CLUB FAVORED Reooir.mep.dation that an advisory -ater commlK.sion be appointed to go over suggested plans for the development develop-ment of en adequate water supply system sys-tem for .Salt Lake at present, and for future provision for 500,000 or more population, pop-ulation, was presented to a meeting of the -water committee of the civic Improvement Im-provement department of the Commercial c'.ub yesterday at noon. The suggestion was made by C. C. Bacltes, chairman of the committee. Before final action can be taken by the c'.u'n on the matter of such an advisory commisHion, it -will have to he suhmlt-;ed suhmlt-;ed to the civic committee, ihe membership member-ship council and the board of governors of the club. Julian M. Bamberger presented a tentative ten-tative program to the civic plannin; committee whereby the city might en-.deavor en-.deavor to reach an agreement with the 'war department under which the city, could park certain parts of the military -eservatlon at Fort Douglas and ute the area for general park purposes, with per-hsps per-hsps a public golf course. Mr. Bamber--er suggested that the gymnasium and slmm'.ng pool, with showers, at the fnl-erfity of Utah might be utilized In connection with the proposed golf course The matter probably will be discussed later.
