Peterson and Deputies Robert Burk, Dick Wootton and Bert Crites, H. H. Cordon, special agent of the railroad, and Officer W. A. Taylor of the police department. The accused men will probably be arraigned ar-raigned in the city court tomorrow morning, morn-ing, when their bail will he fixed. The value of the goods, according to Special Agent Cordon, will probably run into a large amount, as it is known the operations have been carried on for several sev-eral months. It is said that as fast as the goods have been stolen they have been taken to one. central distributing point and divided up among those involved. Articles Ar-ticles of food and clothing were kept by the married men, while tubes and other articles are said to have been disposed of through a "fence." The officers a're now preparing to make an investigation of the alleged "fences" in the city and if necessary will conduct searches of a number of premises to recover re-cover stolen articles. |
