Show 1RKET is sin, 1 BUT PRICES 1E0 Although Lethargy Prevails on Exchange, Confidence in Stocks Displayed. Although the volume of trading transacted trans-acted on the stock exchange yesterday was smaller than it lias been for a considerable con-siderable time, prices held up remarkably remark-ably well. All of which is taken to mean by the initiated that tho lethargy which prevailed may bo attributed to an unavoidable una-voidable condition often manifest on any market, sympathy with conditions on the San Francisco and eastern exchanges ana a lack of important developments in local lo-cal mines.
