Nov., who prepared the body for burial at the Cone ranch before be-fore it was shipped lo lily, may be called to testify as to which, in his opinion, was the fatal shot. K. I,. Today the state will begin the ures-entation ures-entation of the evidence with which it hopes to convict Idigene Harris of first degree murder and his mother, Alice Harris, and his brother, Lcland, as accomplices ac-complices in a conspiracy to kill Cone. Saturday was given over to a review' of the case by the prosecution, and District Dis-trict Attorney O. A. Murdock said he would prove that Cone was killed as the result of a plot between the mother and her two sons and that the fatal shot was fired at the instigation of the mother, who cried out shortly before the first shot w-as fired: "fehoot him, shoot him, the dirty dog.'' The death of Cone, it is said, was the result of a feud, lasting over several mouths, between the Harris and the Cone families. Mrs. Harris contended that Cone's cattle trespassed on her property and ate her hay. 'several times she curraled some cattle belonging to 1'otli Cone and Jack Snigletnn, whose ranches adjoined ad-joined the Harris ranch, she claims, l'hese proceedings led to several quarrels quar-rels lietween her and ''one. and in one instance she alleged Cone drew a guu and threatened to shoot her. |
