Feelins over the crime committed at the Tomboy mine at Tellurlde, Colo., September Sep-tember 10. according to recent advices from Colorado, runs high. As this crime, the murder of four m'.ners, is the culmination culmina-tion of a series of crimes of Kke nature, a determined effort is bein made to bring the criminals to justice. A reward of $-500 for information leading lead-ing to the conviction of the guilty men has boon subscribed by tho following: Tomboy Gold Mines Company, Ltd., ?1000; The Liberty Bell Gold Mining company, ?5'0. the Smuggler Union Mining company, com-pany, $5i0; and the city council, $500. The latest issue of the Mining and Scientific Sci-entific Press carries the following aescrip- tion of the crime: "On tiie evening of September 10 a mvsterious crime occurred at the portal of" the Montana tunnel of the Tomboy, when four miners were kiiicd while on their way to work on the night shin. Te men were shot down by two masked men. according to the report of witnesses, but no motive or clew as to the identity ot the assassins has been discovered as yet. The victims were Lric Sund, Gus Daniel-son, Daniel-son, Fred Smith and Celeste Mattivh killed, and Joe Kochevr, wounded. "These men were members of contracting contract-ing parties working on the lOuO-foot and 1150-foot levels. The first information received re-ceived of the trouble was when Kochevr stauered into the mine office and reported report-ed 'r.e crime, stating that as he entered the tunnel with his companions they were fired upon by masked men, who aimed at their carbide lamps.
