Show COMMUNITY COASTING PARTY BIG SUCCESS OGDEN, Dec. 29. The first community coasting party in the history of tho city i was given on Twenty-seventh street hill this evening and was attended by several sev-eral hundred neop.e of Ine 1:1: y. Then' were sleds, toboggans, schooners and coasting eciuipment of every description. One of the features was a large bonfire on the side of the street, at which "hot dog" sandwiches and coffee were s?Yved. The city commissioners had the Twenty-seventh street hill, from Jefferson avenue to Washington avenue, closed for traffic, and today several loads of snow were placed upon the few bare spots on tho side of tho hill. The committee in charge of the affair comprised Mrs. Ruth W. Gwilliam, Misses Dorothy Wright, Aileen Doon, ,k-an Browning, Kathryn Joyce, Lophelia Run-yon, Run-yon, Gladys itich, Helen Rich and Marian , Wright. |
