Show PSHT SIK OGDEN, Dec. 29. The pageant representing repre-senting the founding of Oden was the feature cf the annual ball of the Daughters Daugh-ters of the Pioneers at the Rerthana tonight. to-night. Fifteen hundred persons aopeared in the pageant, which was under'the direction di-rection of Mrs. Belle S. Ross. It was staged In the center of the large hall, and began at 9 o'clock with the coming com-ing of the Indians, who gave a war dance. They were followed by the arrival of the pioneers with the handcarts. Included In the latter was Mrs. Annie Fermi, SS years of age, who executed a gracefu, dance. H. A. Belnsj impersonated Kris-ham Kris-ham Young, and when the call tame for volunteers for the Mormon Battalion, the words of Brigham Young were repeated regarding the furnishing of the men James Brown, who purchased from Miles I'onlger the tract of land noon which Ogden is built, was represented bv William Wil-liam Brown, a son, and Merlin Stone represented rep-resented Goodyear. The affair was one of the most successful ever given by the local chapters of the Daughters of the pioneers. |
