Show TO PROSECUTE LATE SHOOTERS TO LAW'S LIMH Within a week the state fish and game department has taken into custody cus-tody eig"ht violators of the duck shooting shoot-ing laws. All were charged with shooting after the time limit. Six of the eight were juveniles. t Commissioner R. H. Siddoway said last night that a disregard of the shooting-hour limit was a United States offense and that if a culprit were taken in hand by the federal authorities au-thorities it would inevitably go hard with him. The government provides a punishment of $100 in fine and imprisonment im-prisonment besides. "We are determined to sf;op this practice," said Mr. Siddoway, "and we propose to prosecute the offenders to the limit. There is no excuse for ignorance of the hour beyond- which shooting becomes unlawful. Our office of-fice is prepared to furnish cards containing con-taining the hours for each day of the season. We have distributed thousands thou-sands of these cards. All the newspapers news-papers have published the hours repeatedly, re-peatedly, and no one can offer an . 'alibi' on the score that he 'didn't ! know.' " i |
