Show LOOT HOME WHILE FAMILY IS AWAY Gaining entrance by prying open a window, burglars ransacked the home of Merrill Nlbley, 517 Second avenue, during dur-ing the absence of the family from the city last week, according to reports made to the police department last night. Patrolman Pa-trolman J. G. "Smith made an investigation investiga-tion of the case, but ohtained no clue that might lead to tho discovery of the intruder. Mr. Nibloy was unable to say whether any articles had been taken. A second burglary occurred at the residence resi-dence cf E. T. Hathaway, 421 South Fourth West street, early last evening, a gold watch and a pound of butter being taken by the thief, who entered the building build-ing by breaking a. rear window. Mr. and Mrs. Hathaway were only away from the house for two hours, drying which time the burglary was commuted. Late Saturday night the residence of H. A. Hoaglin. 31S South Eighth West street, manager of he Chicago store, was broken into by thieves, believed by the police to be boys of the neighborhood, neighbor-hood, who were frightened away by tho return of Mr. and Mrs. Hoaglin before they were able to obtain any loot. |
