Show SUFFRAGE SPEGSAL STOPHI 06DEN Members of Woman's Party Par-ty Spend Brief Period at Junction City. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, March 2. Twenty minutes were spent in Ogden tonight by the women wom-en on board the "prison special" of the National Woman's party, during which time the visitors held a brief reception at the depot for local club women. It had been arranged to give a tea and reception re-ception for the ladies at tho Berthana, but these plans were changed. Miss Lucy Eranham spoke briefly at Berthana Ber-thana hall. Mrs. Lila Eccles Brlmhall had arranged for the tea in honor of members of the party and for Miss Branham, a personal friend of Mrs. Brim hall, but this could not be carried out on account of the brief time they were in the ci ty. Announcement An-nouncement of the change of plans was contained in a telegram received this afternoon af-ternoon by The Tribune correspondent from Mrs. Abby Scott Baker, sent from Wells, New The message read as follows: fol-lows: "Owing to change time at Ogden, members mem-bers of 'prison special' unable attend Mrs. Brimhall's tea. Arrive Southern Pacific No. 20 and leave Union Pacific No. 22. "Will hold meeting at the depot." A large number of women attended the tea at the Berthana, after which they-went they-went to tho depot and were received by the members of the special. |
