The committee on reception for returned spl diers and sailors met yesterday and de- ! cided definitely on holding the big welcome-home reception on July 3 and 4, in order to include as many men as possible. pos-sible. The matter of holding individual receptions was discussed but was not .found to be feasible, inasmuch as the boys are drifting home a few at a time. The welcome celebration to be staged in the city in July, however, will be a big affair, and plans for the event will go on from this day. The committee in charge of the prelfrnmary affairs of the celebration . is composed of the following: follow-ing: Ira S. Lambing, representing the city council; Fred W. Dickerson. representing repre-senting the Rotarv club, and J. Robb Brady, W. C. Tatro and C. H. Archibald, representing the Commercial club. The celebration will be known as the "Welcome-home" celebration and will be in honor of the boys of Pocatello and Bannock Ban-nock county who served the country during dur-ing the recent war. |
