Show TRUCK HITS STREET CAR: DRIVER INJURED Colliding with a south bound Ninth East street car at Wilson avenue, yesterday, yes-terday, Edward Erickson, IS years of age, a truck driver for A. Jlosliisson. received re-ceived numerous bruises about his chest and was severely shaken up. . According to the police, the street car, which was in charge of Motorman J. E. Starhuck and Conductor C. Boehe. was standing at the intersection of Wilton avenue and Ninth East street, discharging discharg-ing passengers, when the truck driven by Erickson smirk the rear end of the street car. Erickson was taken to the emergency hospital for treatment and later removed to his home. D. L. Pyper, 216 North Seventh West street, proprietor of a local paint company, com-pany, suffered a fractured Jt and numerous num-erous bruises when he was knocked down and run over by his own automobile at Fifth West and North Temple streets early yesterday morning. The accident happened when Mr. Pyper stepped too close to his car as it approached. ap-proached. He was struck by the windshield wind-shield of the machine and thrown to the ground. His injuries were treated at the emergency hospital, after which he was taken to his home. A third accident was recorded yesterday yester-day morning, when Lyman Jensen, IS years of age. 310 West Fifty-third South street, was struck by an automobile at Fifth South and State street. He received re-ceived numerous bruises and lacerations, which were treated at the emergency hospital. |
