Show FORT COMMANDER NOT YET CHOSEN No Successor to Colonel Alfred Has-brouck Has-brouck Has Been Designated by War Department. No designation of a new commanding officer of the Twentieth infantry, to succeed suc-ceed Colonel Alfred Hasbrouck, just ordered or-dered to the Philippines, has yet been made by the war department. Such is the information received last night from Washington, D. C. It is stjwed in the information that probably a colonel who has 'recently returned from France, where he has had opportunity to come into intimate contact with conditions con-ditions there, may be assigned to the regiment when the time comes for the organization to go across the sea. It is stated in the dispatch that the Twentieth is not yet scheduled to go to France. However, every indication here points to the fact that it is being put in shape to be sent across some time this summer. |
