While the silver production Is practically practical-ly at a standstill, 74,244,000 fine ounces, as compared with the preceding year, the -old, 4.eS5,5$9 line ounces, valued at S4,-456.600, S4,-456.600, shows a falling: off from the 1916 output of ?92.:"!"n30i, amounting to SS.133,-70fi, SS.133,-70fi, or S per cent.
