Show WINDOW WASHER DEAD FROM FALL Harry Livingstone Dangles Till Strap Breaks, Dropping to Alley at Eear of Keanx's Building. Following a fall of 130 feet from a tenth floor window of the Kearns building build-ing to the alley, Harry Livingstono, 40 veal's old, a window washer, died yesterday yes-terday while being taken to the emergency emer-gency hospital. He suffered a broken leg. a broken arm and fractured skull. According to witnesses Livingstone was washing windows at the rear of the building, and was wearing a heavy leather belt fastened by means of snap hooks to rings set into the window casings. It appears ho was about to change his position and had unhooked the snap on one si tie, when he lost his balance and fell, dangling for several minutes ot the end of the strap attached to the belt. After making several efforts ef-forts to reach the window sill with his hands, the strap gave way and ho fell to the ground. Livingstone is survived bv his widow, who is employed at the Pliindoinc hotel. Funeral arrangements had not been com-'pleted com-'pleted last night. |
