OCR Text	Show PETITIONS FOR PLANT IN UINTAH COUNTY Intending to build a hydroelectric plant to develop 950 horsepower, Charles B. Bartlett of Vernal yesterdny filed application appli-cation with the state engineer for the use of forty second cubic feet of water from Whiteroeks creek, Uintah county. He intends to market the resultant power in L-apoint and that vicinity. Mr. Bartlett Bart-lett says he will produce the power bv using the water under a head of 28G feet on ihree-foot pelton wheels. Krastus Cbristensen of Bear River City applied for three second feet from Rear river, to be lifted on to forty-seven acres of land by means of a gasoline pump. Warren W. Strong of Duchesne asks for .83 of a second foot from the Duchesne river to irrigate nearly fifty-eight acres of land. C. F. Christ ensen wants to use ten second feet from unnamed springs in I Millard county to irrigate 1 440 acres, in- tending to develop the springs.
