RED CROSS STRIDES 10 Lffi GROWTH Official Figures Shov Development De-velopment in Mountain Division for Quarter. UTAH RANKS HIGH Shipment of Wool to Local Chapter Stimulates Much Activity. The second number of Arc Rays, the official organ of the mountain division of the Red Cross, reached the secretary's desk at local headquarters yesterday. It contains a carefully compiled table, showing show-ing in detail tho output of every chapter In the division for the months of December, De-cember, January and February. The totals to-tals show l,4Stj,254 surgical dressings, 106,-hospitaJ 106,-hospitaJ garments and 115,431 knitted articles. The December output of surgi- cal dressings was 265,052, the February output was 750, lido, and the December output out-put of hospital garments was 35,318; the February output was 41,506. The December De-cember output of knitted articles was 33,-2!'2 33,-2!'2 "and the February output 48,145. The Utah output of surgical dressings was 4it,-129 In December and 83.084 In February. Feb-ruary. In hospital garments the stale's output was 13,029 In December and 13,919 in February. Of knitted articles the state turned out S040 In December and 9S97 in February. Work of Chapter. Figures for the Salt Lake county chapter chap-ter show 21,897 surgical dressings in December, De-cember, 36,403 in January and 44,137 in February. In hospital garments the output out-put was 8691 in December, 4970 in January Janu-ary and 7039 in February. Of knitted articles ar-ticles the output in December was 2487, in January 2323 and in February 3771. The slight decrease in the knitted articles in January, as compared with the December De-cember output, is accounted for by the fact that there was some saving up of knitted articles for the December shipments ship-ments by reason of the holiday season and the Inability at times to procure yarn for knitters as fast as it was utilized. Among the principal consignments of . finished articles received yesterday the public school auxiliaries led with the following: fol-lowing: Twenty-four ether socks, three bed jackets, five ice-bag covers, twenty-eieht twenty-eieht comfort pillows, eleven towels, four pairs of socks, one sweater, thirty-nine pairs of wristlets, fifty handkerchiefs, twenty-three wash rags, 113 gun wipes, forty hot water bag covers, twenty-two pairs of bed socks, Xorly-eight pairs of bandage foot socks. Otner consignments in part follow: First Presbyterian church auxiliary, seventeen comfort pillows, four operating sheets, seven surgeons' gowns, forty pairs of socks, fifty surgeons' caps, ten wash cloths, eleven pairs of bed socks, forty T bandages, fourteen bed shirts, fifty-eight ether masks', three bundles of upima strings; Daughters of the Pio-jneers' Pio-jneers' auxiliary, eight bed shirts, four - hath robes, three pairs of socks, one pair of wristlets; Hermion Pythian auxiliary, i ten bed shirts, three suits of pajamas, v seven pairs of socks.
