Show U. OF U. COMPILING WAR SERVICE DATA Information Requested Concerning Students and Faculty Members Now in U. S. Duty. The University of Utah, in an effort to make a compilation of the names of all persons formerly connected with tne university uni-versity and now in the service of the United States, asks citizens of the state to send in Information regarding any student, stu-dent, faculty member, teacher or regent in military service. As soon aa the names of these men formerly connected con-nected with the University of Utah are received, a pamphlet will be published. In order to facilitate this move, the university has published a card asking for the following information : Name of person formerly connected with the university: uni-versity: rccriment, battery' or company; position in navy; other war service if not military; year of graduation. If graduate; last year of attendance at the university if not a graduate, and present home address. ad-dress. As the names are sent in and compiled a new pamphlet will be published, accord -insr to President John A. Widtsoe, but the institution is eager to get as many names as possible for t lie first publication. The parents of the men in service can be of great service in facilitating this matter, it is believed, by forwarding the required information to the university. Registration continues heavy at the university, uni-versity, falling short only V0 of last year's total for the third day, according to information in-formation given out last night by President Presi-dent Widtsoe. At the end of the harvesting har-vesting season the enrollment will bo greatly Increased, It is believed, ns many students are taking advantage of the permission per-mission fir late registration granted by the faculty. A laruto number of students who hove been released temporarily from the army mid navy are registering to complete their work. |
