It ip stated officially at the American consulate that the following Americans were amon.cr the crews of the ships sunk by Ihe raider who have been landed at Pernambuco: Benjamin Stevens, Frank Maeree, David Johnson. Fred Smith. Harry Picot. Guy Van Uofn, Royal Gregory and an unnamed nepro. These men were members of the crew - of the . S't. Theodore, Theo-dore, which was captured on December 12. but not sunk. In addition to these, another American. ChariSe Jones, member of the crew of the st owner Minieh, captured cap-tured on December lt. has arrived here.
