Show GGGD OUTLOOK FOR ST1STE1ERS Auto Show Big Help in Getting Get-ting Line Acquainted With Public. Fred Alkire is all steamed up over the outlook for the coming season for Stanley Stan-ley steamers. Alkire says the auto show has been a big help to him in getting the Stanley before the public. Hundreds of agents are after the contracts for Utah and Idaho pomts, and from all indications in-dications more Stanleys will be sold than can, be turned out this season. Alkire further states that those agents who are fortunate enough to land a contract, even for a small territory, will be in big luck, as the Stanley factory fac-tory is contemplating a smaller model car which will sell for under a thousand dollars, Salt Lake City. It will be light weight, about 1200 pounds, for a five-passonger five-passonger car. Fully equipped with the latest improvements, which will put it ahead of any car yet devised. The car, it is anticipated, will run twenty miles on one gallon of distillate and several hundred miles on. one tank of water. It will have the same efficiency and characteristics char-acteristics as the big car now made. Agents have signed up this week for ten cars for Twin Falls, Idaho. Two other contracts were placed for Pocatel-lo, Pocatel-lo, St. Anthony and Idaho Falls for twenty-five cars and more to follow. Everyone knows that the Stanley is a simple, safe, sane car to operate, and it is a pleasure to drive it on account of no gear shift or clutch to handle. |
