Show FORMER SALT LAKER IS DOG RACE WINNER Fred Ayer, formerly of Salt Lake, again won the twenty-six-mile dog race out of Nome Friday. Ayer's time was 1 hour 55 minutes 45 seconds, setting a new record for the course. Ayer wins the Borden trophy and $1000 in money prizes. He will enter the Alaska Sweepstake, the next big dog-racing event in Alaska. Ayer attended high school' in Salt Lake and is well known to many residents resi-dents of this city, where he has a number num-ber of relatives. |
