Karl Winter, local agent for the Vim delivery truck, cfeclared yesterday tha' the Vim truck has brought in a new era for delivering- goods, in that it has made feasible the ' idea of delivering small units of poods at little cost and with great celerity. As further proof of his assertion Mr. Winter produced a magazine article which is as follows: - When the Vim motor truck was offered to the public slightly more than two years ago it was immediately imme-diately recognized by the initiated and quickly grasped by those who were waiting to be shown that a new era was dawning in the automobile auto-mobile delivery field, that more automobile history had been made. The delivery problem up to the time of the advent of tho Vim deliver de-liver car was what might be termed more or less chaotic. The horse-drawn vehicle had proved its inadequacy for the requirements of modern merchandising, the recog- nized trucks were in the majority of cases of large carrying capacity and similar initial cost and upkeep. up-keep. While excellent for the specific spe-cific purposes for which designed, they were not the answer to the crying demand of the average merchant, and in consequence makeshifts were resorted to m the hope that relief would be experienced. exper-ienced. Won 't someone come to my rescue and offer of-fer me a delivery unit that in size, cost of upkeep and ability will care for my expressed needs?" In answer to this cry for help the Vim delivery car was projected bv the genius who gathered around him the most expert men to bo had on questions of design, delivery, mechanics and engineering. After deciding what was needed to fittingly fit-tingly and best answer the cry, work was started.
