Dear Sir: Wo acknowledge-receipt of check for $100.00 for the death of our gelding, "Darkie," and must sav that we are surprised to get such quick action. Wo insured this horse, with others, on tho 17th dav of this month. He became suddenly sick on the night of the" 19th and died before morn- ' ing, in spite of the best efforts of our veterinarv. The policv was not vet issued. We gave you proof of loss on the 23rd and now have the company's check, along with the policy.
