Show MINER IS BLINDED BY EXPLODING CAPS Benjamin Goodrich, a miner employed by the Mines Development company teasing at the Alia Tunnel & Transportation Transpor-tation company's property In the Big Cottonwood district, had Ills eyes blown out by exploding dynamite caps Friday. Besides losing his eyesight, his head was lacerated by bits of the flying metal. The condition of Mr. Goodrich was reported last night as extremely critical, but with a chance for recovery. The accident occurred while Mr. Goodrich, Good-rich, 22 years of age and unmarried, was putting caps on fuse. He was on the dump outside of the tunnel and it is not definitely known just how the accident occurred. He was found by the cook employed em-ployed b"y the company, and was brought to Salt Lake by J. J. Woodruff, one of the contractors at the property. |
