Show MEW COMPANY SHIPPING ZINC ORE Eleven Cars Sent Out During Dur-ing August Average $1200 Each. Eleven cars of high-grade ore -were shipped from the property of the Lake-view Lake-view lining company during August and the output is expected to he increased during the coming month, according to the local management. The company is at present working thirty-five men and on the Bick-Clark-McCarrick lease on ground owned by the company there is at present employed twenty-five men. The property, which is located twenty-six miles west from Ogden on Promontory point, is said to be in excellent physical con-ditipn. A body of high-grade zinc ore has been opened up in one of the drifts that Is between five and eight feet in width and has been developed for sixty feet along its strike. There is at present a full face of ore at the end of the drift. No attempt has been made by . the management manage-ment to increase the shipments, the only ore shipped being that taken out during the development work. The shipments sent out during August averag&d $1200 to the car. The ore body has been developed by d lifting at approximately 1000 feet from its apex and is rapidly being proven up by drifting, crosscut ting and by winzes sunk on it. The company paid a dividend divi-dend during July amounting to $5000 and it is expected that this amount will be increased as the development work progresses. The mine is locate-d at a point three and one-half miles from Saline, a station sta-tion on the Southern Pacific railroad. The property is to be thoroughly equipped with the necessary mining machinery, the company having recently purchased an oil -driven compressor, capable of delivering de-livering 1ST cubic feet of air, and all of the necessary machinery. |
