Show FRICTION DEVELOPS AT CHICAGO HEARING CHICAGO. Aug. 9. Friction developed today in the session of the federal commission com-mission on industrial relations, which ifi attempting to adopt a report after t wo years of Invest I r.i tion. Members of the coin mission said t he greatest Fource of disagreement was occasioned - by consideration consid-eration of the RocWeller Interests, on which, it was said, there might be three reports. Members of the commtsFlon 'tempted to compose their differences in exec.uilve session, but admitted that a wide divergence di-vergence of views existed. Pro feasor John R. Commons of the University of Wisconsin prepared a lengthy report. In which Mrs. J. Borden Harriman concurred. con-curred. Commissioner Harris Weinsto"k had another report, while Bail M. Manly had a third. In which it was reported the greatest number of the members of the commission concurred. Several members of the commission contended that the sessions should be open, and a vote was taken, with the result re-sult that all consideration of the questions ques-tions involved will be behind closed doors. |
