Show CITY'S "HOT WAVE" IS DISAPPEARING Highest Point Beached by Observatory Thermometers Yesterday Only 89 Degrees. Salt Lake has evidently given over its attempt to qualify as a hot locality. Yesterday the thermometer on top of tho Boston building failed to get above 8$ degrees for the hottest part of the day, according to A. H. Thiessen, section sec-tion director of the. United States weather bureau. The kiosk in front of the postoffice registered" a few degrees higher, but was quickly discouraged after aft-er passing thp noontime. On top of these facts, the barometer got busy and betrayed to Mr. Thiessen such secrets of atmospheric ehange to come that that conservative individual predicted weather yet more cool for today. to-day. Now if he can juggle the barometer barome-ter to a point where it will develop rain signals, the weather man will have lived up to all that could be expected of him in the interest of ideal Salt Lake weather. |
