Show BIG CONVENTION CLOSES. Farmers' Roundup and Housekeepers' Conference Con-ference Scores Success at Tooele. Special to The Tribune. TOOELE. Feb. 23. With the record crowd of the week in attendance the farmers' roundup and housekeepers' convention, con-vention, ffiven under the direction of the Tooele High school, closed tonight. The attendance throughout has been much better than anticipated, and the convention conven-tion has been satisfactory in every way. During the forenoon. Professor ' Byron Alder of the Agricultural college spoke on "Poultry;" A. L. Christiansen on "The Pruning of the Orchard," and Professor Carl L. Anderson of the Agricultural college col-lege on "The Home Garden." At the women's convention, "The Sanitation of the Home" was discussed by Miss Mary L. Young, and N. H. Wrebb talked on "How to Tell Pure Textiles." This afternoon. Professor Alder spoke on "Egg Production and Marketing;" Professor Anderson on "Taking Boys and Girls into Partnership;" Miss Young on "The Vocational Value of Home Economics." Econom-ics." Miss Young also gave a cooking demonstration In the domestitc science laboratory of the hish school. At the night session, Professor J. C. Hogenson gave a canning demonstration. |
