Bassett on 'Madison avenue ave-nue was the S'ene of a brilliant a?sem-Wage a?sem-Wage Wednesday evening, when a reception re-ception was given following the marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Kathyrn Smith Eaasett, to T. Ear! Pardoe Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple. The home was beautifully decorate.!, the dining room being be-ing in yellow, while pink and white prevailed pre-vailed in the other rooms. Mrs. Par-doe Par-doe wore a handsome gown of white corded silk, with an overeklrt of real lace and- chiffon, and carried a shower bouquet of white bride's roses and lilies of the valley. She was attended by Miss Leah Pardoe of this city and Mi?s Ethel Johnson of Salt Lake as bridesmaids. Clvde Green well accompanied the sroom as best man. The Aerial Glee club of Salt Lake furnished music throughout the evening and a violin solo was rendered ren-dered by Marcellus Smith, a talented young violinist. An individual tray luncheon lunch-eon was served, under the direction of Mrs. "Winters, bv the Misses Ruth Far-doe. Far-doe. Winifred Peterson, Ruth Scofleld, Dorothy Packard and Virginia Stevens. After an extended honeymoon trip Through Utah and Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Pardoe will be at home to their friends in this city. A musical event, which will undouM, edly be one of the most interesting ever given in Ogrlen, will be the dedication of the new pipe organ which is now being be-ing installed in St. Joseph's Catholic church. Two recitals will be given on the afternoon and evening of June 10 riy Allen W. Bogen, the famous organist of Chicago. In addition to the organ selections se-lections by Mr. Bogen, the St. Joseph's choir will render some classic sacred music. Dr. Walter FJ. Whalen entertained the members of the Whalen-Loos bridal party at a beautifully appointed dinner Sun-da Sun-da v evening in the private dining room of " the Weber club. The table decorations decora-tions were in pink, and covers were laid for eight. Wednesday, at high noon, in the Salt Lake temple, the marriage of Joseph t). Ev-ans, son of Mr. and Mr?. T. B. Evans of this city, and Miss Norma Sears, daughter nf Mr. and Mrs. Heber J. Sears of Chicago, was solemnized, Aposile George A. Smith officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Evans will be at home to their friends in the Wright apartments on South Washington avenue. Mrf. J. PL .Spa veto was hostess to the members of the "oOO" club and a few other guests at her home in the Peery Friday afternoon. Cook went to Logan Thursday morning to attend at-tend the reunion of the Brigham Young College Alumni association. A pretty home wedding was solemnized Tuesday evening, when Miss Adelia C West, daughter of Mrs. Sadie West, and William Ambrose Wright were united in marriage at the home of the bride's brother, F. Earl West. The ceremony was performed by President James Wotherspoon in the presence of the immediate im-mediate relatives of the young couple.
