Show BOLT OF LIGHTNING FATAL TO BARNETT Cow and Chickens Also Killed in Violent Vio-lent Electrical Storm on Ranch in Idaho. Special to The Tribune. POCATEULO; Idaho, June 6. Frank Barnett, son-in-law of J. A. High, who lives three miles west of Ora, was struck by lightning and instantly in-stantly killed today. Air. Barnett and wife had just arrived at the home of Itred Barnett when the accident occurred. oc-curred. The whole party was knocked down and others slightly injured. The bolt struck Barnett in the temple and passed through his body to the ground, burning the flesh to a crisp and breaking break-ing several bones. The same bolt killed some chickens and a later one killed a cow on the same ranch. Yesterday the 10-year-old son of Mrs. Claudia .Nelson of Pocatello died of heart trouble. The body has been shipped to the old home at Graber, Utah, for burial. |
