Sir Lionel Garden, tho British minister, said tonight he had received a report stating that the refugee train carrying 500 Americans to Puerto Mexico had arrived ar-rived at Santa Lucrecia this morning without Incident. A committee of members of the American Ameri-can colony called on the Brazilian minister minis-ter today to perfect plans for co-operating with him. The arms remaining at the American embassy after the recent seizure by the Mexican government have not been removed, os the Brazilian minister minis-ter protested against such action. April 30 Samuel vastbinder, an American rancher was chased across tho line six miles west of here today by threo Mexican rurales, who followed him onto American soil and discharged their revolvers at him, according accord-ing lo the rancher's story. Vastbinder said ho loft his ranch on horseback this morning for Calcxlco. leading a mule. Ho took the lead that zigzags back and forth across the line. About a mile from his ranch, while on the Mexican side. Vastbinder said he saw the rurales approaching, loosening their lariats as they drew near. Ho freed the mule, and after a race of three-quarters of a mile ho said he crossed n bridge over an Irrigation ditch, reaching th American side, tho rurales following and firing.
