Show Here's a Newly Designed NONREFILLABLE BOTTLE i ANEW non-reflllable bottle has been invented in-vented and patented by a New York man, John Wolfingor, which is unique In many ways.especlally because of its ball valve and triple protected outlets. In order to ,1111 this bottle It Is first neces-i neces-i eary to cork It securely and turn it upside 1 down. The Ailing is done from a hole in tho ! indented bottom, shown at "D" In the illus- tratlon. In regard to this Mr. Wolflnger Bays l In his specification: "Heferring to tho drawing, draw-ing, the concavo bottom ol the bottle Is provided pro-vided with a central opening which is cloBed !wlth a plug of cork or glass or other material which is tightly closed or sealed after the bottle Is filled, i The idea of a non-reflllable bottle being to protect the makers of Its original contents and also the consumers from imitations, a Bimple cork plug would naturally be no more effective than having an ordinary bottle, it I seoms, but if, at the bottling establishment a plug of glaes can be fused In the opening after the liquid Is Introduced, it is evident from the drawing of this Invention that tt cannot be refilled after the original aontcntr. are poured out, unless the glass ban mtr. 1 shown at M,C", Is broken. , This could be easily seen ant ac a- l warning to th consumer that tha contenU. 4 I were not original. When the bottle has been Ailed and tho bottom opening properly sealed, one may remove the cork at the neck, up- tilt the bottle and tho liquid will run out freely. But set the bottle upon its base agate i and attempt to pour liquid into it aud it can- ( not get below the bottom of the neck which ( closes in from a bulge made for the easy ) operation of the ball valve. The peculiar feature ot this botlte Is the outlet. There are really throe outlets, two of which ("A" and "B") are shown in the draw- lug. Beneath each of those little holes is a flange or lip. These are to hold the ball "C." Otherwise this ball valve would fall against these openings and also close them. But with the lips the ball rests away from them, J and the neck of the bottle at that point Is . large enough to allow the liquid to run past '! it, through the openings and out into the outer neck ot the bottle. The ball valve, as ' can be seen, Is secured in an Inner neck. The inventor claims that tho bottle will prove valuable to many manufacturers ot medicines or liquors, inasmuch as It cannot be reflllod without the consumer instantly detecting the fraud, if the bottom opening at J "D" Is properly sealed with molten glasB or other substance that will fuse into the bottle I Itself at the time of the original filling, v |
